What A Day!!!!

What a day we had. Wonderful, sunny, and baseball playing day!! The boys had their first T-Ball game today. They had a blast, and did such an wonderful job. It started off as Opening Day Ceremony at Prospect. The boys team is the Dodgers.(I know how lucky were we to get onto the dodgers team, since that is Darrel's favorite MLB team) The Dodgers was the first team to be called out in introductions. The boys were so nervous we caught them holding hands.

Game time!!! The Dodgers started off at bat first. Jackson's turn and he hits the ball hard straight to the pitcher. Jackson runs to first but doesn't stop!! He just kept running. They finally got him to stop at third. Luckily he didn't get out. It was funny to watch him. Karson's first turn at bat he hit the ball and runs to first base, but stops to look at me. He got out at first, but he was all smiles. The best thing about T-Ball everyone gets to bat every inning. No score is kept, and the game is always tied.

After the game, we went to get their helmets airbrushed. Such an cool idea, I wished we had that when I was playing softball. The boys love them.

Can't wait for more games. So happy the boys enjoy themselves so much!!!

Is it just me??

Am I the only anxious mother out there? Every time I take the boys to go play at Chick-fil-a, there are always other kids in the play area that are wearing shoes. The rules state "no shoes allow, socks must be worn." Well, I follow the rules, apparently other moms do not. Yes I know it is germy in there. But that is what socks are for! I hate it when my little babies get their poor little hands stomp on. It just makes me ill. Would you like for me to put my shoes on and step on your fingers? I think not. So next time parents, please read the signs and follow the rules.

Library Time

Library time is every Tuesday at 10:30. Usually starts off with story time. And then it follows by a 1-2 hours looking and picking out books for the boys. We usually try to go for a theme for each week. This week we found a series of books called Froggy plays T-ball. Froggy goes to School , and so on. Well we ended up with about 10 froggy books. Yep!! You guessed it Karson is all about his froggy. BTW, I was informed tonight that Karson wants to be a froggy when he grows up. Debating weather or not to buy him a frog? I am scare he will let it out and it attack me. So we have our froggy books and also about 8 different air force books. Not sure why Jackson pick those out, but whatever interests him. We love library time. For one it is free entertainment for us. It is very educational for the kids too. They have to learn how to be quiet and still for story time. They love the puppet shows and puzzles working with other little kids. We also get to play games on the library computers, which is the right age for the kids!!! We average about 30 to 40 books per week. Eventually I am assuming we are going to run out of books. Below are the books we renting out today. This will last about a week. But I am so blessed that I have kids that love to read. We take time out of our days every day to read.

WALMART FACTS

One day last week someone got the best of me. There was a comment thrown out there saying people who work at Walmart are IGNORANT. Well of course that anger me since my husband is an employee of Walmart. Matter of fact my husband as been at Walmart for 11 years now. Walmart has it pro's and con's. But most people like to hype on the cons. Well I decided for all of you haters out there some FACTS about walmart. And how walmart has helped out your community. Yes I do shop at Target also. Yes, I do believe Target as more quality of things. That doesn't mean I knock Walmart. I do 90% of my grocery shopping at walmart. But here are some known facts :

  1. Walmart commites to give Chile 1 million dollars
  2. From Feb 1 2008 to Jan 2009 Walmart gave more than $423 million in cash and in-kind gifts globally.
  3. Just in Nc alone in 2009 Walmart Corporation and associates gave $9,315,708 to their community. Which means it stayed in North Carolina
  4. In 2008 Walmart donated to AMERICA food banks over 90 million pounds of food
  5. As a Walmart give back program. Walmart donated 1.1 million dollars to military families for books and gifts for the Christmas season
  6. Walmart has donated over 1 million dollars to the National center of Family Homelessness
  7. In 2009 Walmart awarded Meals on Wheels with 2.2 million dollars
  8. 1.2 million was donated to the BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF AMERICA
  9. WALMART EMPLOYEES 1.4 MILLION IN UNITED STATES ALONE. (for all of you people that complain about walmart. And we should not let Walmart be in this community. Imagine if Walmart wasn't here. There would be more than 1.4 million jobs loss. Hey Walmart should be president, seems like they are doing a better job than Obama???)

Just little bit of facts. More will come later when I have more time to vent.

Let me hold you longer

One of my favorite books is Let me hold you longer by Karen Kingsbury. It is a little short books made for mommy's and daddy's. I read every so often , especially when I feel overwhelmed. And tonight putting the boys to sleep. I had to take a step back, and remember that book. We try to put the boys down at 6:00 pm every night. Now we go into their room at 6:00 every night but we may not get out until 7:00 or 7:30. Their little minds remember everything right now. Here is a little glimpse into our nightly routine. We usually start off with writing our letters on the Aqua Doddle that is hooked on the wall. (Trust me Karson is never going to forget that one, he loves writing letters) Then we usually play music, whatever song they like off my MP3. Karson loves "I love Rock & Roll" by Brittany Spears(I know it is embarrassing that I have that song, but it is a great work out song) Jackson's favorite song is "Amazing Grace" by Chris Tomlin. Oh he has to have "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown band. Now it is onto books. We average 2-4 books per night. Time for prayers. How the boy love to pray. We pray for everything. It goes something like this : Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord, my soul to keep. Angels watch us through the night, till the mornings light. We love you Karson, love you Jackson, love you Mommy, love you Daddy, love you Maw Maw's , love you Papa's, love aunts, love you uncles, love you cousins. Love you Jesus and Love you GOD. Amen. We love you doggy, duck, spider man doggy, froggy the frog and the little froggy the frog. Then it is on to who friends that are sick and then we pray for them. Night night songs are next!! (it is almost over) Karson has TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR every night. (You have to make sure you sing it S-L-O-W-L-Y or you have to repeat yourself). Jackson is HUSH LITTLE BABY or YOUR MY JACKSON. Time for kisses and hugs!!!! 10 kisses and 10 hugs from each child and too each child. And don't forget 1 to remember me by.(so that is 40 hugs and kisses we get everynight) Time to say Goodnight Sleep tight. If anyone gets up you go in time out. Darrel and I manage to walk out of the room , and Karson is coming out saying I have to potty. Karson goes potty , goes back into his room. And then we hear "Mommy" will you please sleep with my animals. Then another set of kisses and hugs. While by this time Jackson is asleep in his bed with all his kids as he calls them. And usually this is it.

But this is when I remember the book, when I get into a hurry. I have that last load of laundry to fold or dishes to wash. Or even to sit down. Pretty soon they are going to be too old to give me those 10 kisses . So even though our nighttime routine may take us a long time, I am going to cherish these moments. And always cherish that 1 to remember me by.

OOPS!!

I know Jackson will haunt me down when he gets older and after seeing this pic. But this way too cute not too share. I am also using this blog as my scrapbooking journal for them when they get older. So I have to post this.

MY SLEEPING BEAUTIES

The boys received new beds for their birthday's. They have not slept very well in the past 6 months. They kept saying that they needed big boy beds. We kept dismissing them. Thinking it was an excuse to sleep with mommy and daddy. Well we were WRONG. They have been sleeping wonderfully!! Here are some pics from tonight after we check in on them.

This is why Jackson needed a bigger bed. For him and "all his kids" as he calls them:

This is how we see Karson sleeping a lot. No wonder he wanted a bigger bed. He sleeps upside down!!
